Skyler Massie considers growing up in Belle Fourche a great privilege. Born,
raised and educated here in the Northern Black Hills, Skyler gained knowledge
of the area that will propel him to success. Working in the alfalfa fields of
Fruitdale, branding in Camp Crook and hand picking corn in Belle Fourche
secured Skyler a strong work ethic at a young age.
Skyler gained experience early in life from a wide variety of construction work: landscaping, lawn sprinkler installation, residential carpentry and the construction courses offered by Belle Fourche High School will be paramount to his success as a member of our team.
Skyler obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Black Hills State University in 2011, learning about law, civics and policy. He earned his real estate license in March 2013, giving him the opportunity to serve the area as a real estate broker associate.
Says Skyler: “Returning to Belle Fourche and reconnecting with the community has been exciting. The chance to provide people of this area the greatest opportunities to find a home for them and their families is fulfilling; and having the opportunity to be a member of the Tri-State Realty family has been wonderful.”
Merlin Neumiller was raised on the family wheat and cattle farm in central North Dakota, where he spent many hours on a 930 Case tractor. After graduating from high school, he remained in the area for a few years farming and working in construction. He then moved to Wyoming, where he worked as a Forest Service range technician and attended the University of Wyoming, graduating with a BS in Range Management.
Merlin went on to a federal career with the Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Bureau of Indian Affairs, working as a soil conservationist, range specialist, natural resource officer, and deputy superintendent. He retired in 2013 with over 25 years of experience in North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, and California. Merlin found it rewarding to live and work in diverse areas, and he became good friends with many ranchers, farmers, coworkers, and neighbors across the country.
Merlin and his wife Susanne, with their daughters Hannah and Miranda, have returned to their favorite area, the Black Hills of South Dakota and Wyoming. They like spending time together as a family, enjoying the outdoors, spoiling their dog, and following the Denver Broncos and Wyoming Cowboys.
Merlin has joined the good people at Tri-State Realty as a broker associate. He hopes that his extensive background and experience in land management can be of value to people interested in buying or selling ranch, farm, or residential properties, or to those who just want to stop in and share tall tales.
